This service is for customers that want to sell Gold Silver, Watches, Platinum & Palladium by Post, incl broken & damaged gold & silver items. Please read the following information carefully.
As Gold & Silver buyers we have an excellent and popular postal service via Royal Mail Special delivery for buying gold and silver items. Its safe and secure which means your items are insured and trackable. Of course you can also use your own courier when you want to sell your gold and silver. Please read the following simple instructions carefully for a 100% satisfactory service. NB The Post Office can also use your envelope/ box etc. and stick a special delivery label on it for postage. They might offer you a Parcelforce as a cheaper option, but Parcelforce can attempt delivery out of hours and we can miss them . Insist on a medium or large special delivery service. NB There is now a new service available from the Post office who can pick up your parcel for delivery to us.

Posting Gold and Silver To Us - The Gold and Silver Buying Process
EITHER Post Yourself Via Special Delivery
Just put your gold or precious metals in a packet/box and post it to us via Royal Mail's Special Delivery Service via your Post Office. Either include a note with your contact details & details of your items with weights if possible or use our form (see below). The cashier will weigh your items and you should have an idea of how much insurance to ask for (Use our gold price calculator if in doubt). Items are insured for £500 standard but you can pay for extra insurance for a couple of pounds up to £2500. If your items are worth more than that then please send them in more than one parcel. Please read our Gold and Silver Buying Guide if you need more information NB Ensure items are securely packaged. we cannot be held responsible for any losses from inadequate parcel security.

Works like special delivery with the same insurance options, only this time Royal mail will collect from you. Postal Form
2/ Use our secure online print form.. click here. No details are recorded online, so your information cannot be hacked. Include it in your parcel or if you don't have a printer just include a note detailing your name, address and day time phone number in your parcel. Please ensure all your details are correct. If you have a mobile phone number then please tell us. Most importantly tell us how you want to be paid ie cheque, or bank transfer . There is a section on our form for this.

3/ On receipt and within 24-48 hours we will work out the value of your gold or precious metals and phone you with information about the weight, & purity . We will make you an offer based on our gold and precious metals price calculator which is based on the London fix for gold. If we can't get hold of you we will leave a message, but please as we are very busy only post to us if you can be contactable within a day or two and please check your messages. Otherwise it will delay our service to you & of course payment. NB All calls are made between 8-9AM to ensure we catch you in
4/ Once we have spoken to you and confirmed you are happy we will either make a transfer via our Bank or if you prefer we will send you a cheque via recorded delivery within one working day. NB Once an offer is made and accepted then the item cannot be returned.
5/ Of course In the unlikely event that you refuse our offer we will post all your items back to you at our cost!! We promise you the very best and fairest customer service.
6/ If you send non-gold/silver items to us and want them returned, we make a charge of £6.50 for returning them to cover postal costs etc.. This can be deducted from the amount of the offer we have made

PLEASE NOTE We no longer pay cash for postal gold, silver and platinum items. We offer bank transfer or cheque, in line with new industry standard practice guidelines Payments are usually within 24 hours but occasionally can be delayed by random bank security checks. Also please note any unhallmarked or foreign hallmarked ie items that are not fully English hallmarked will be tested. This may leave a small test mark on Jewellery, which can be polished out by your local jeweller.

What Fees Do You Charge?
None, nothing whatsoever, absolutely nothing.
I have more Gold than the Special delivery Limit of £2500 What do I do?
Calculate the value of your items by using our calculator. Divide them up into parcels then post separately at your leisure and we will cover all postage to us on purchase of your items .
What if The Gold price Changes?
As many professional companies do, we mainly base our prices on the London Gold Fix price for silver which is set at 10:30am. The percentage we pay for your gold will be the price our gold and precious metals price calculator shows when we receive your items. We will then telephone you with an offer for your gold. If the price for gold has risen we will offer you more and if it has fallen the offer will be less. If in the unlikely event that you decide NOT to accept our offer for your gold, your items will be returned to you by special delivery without charge.
Is the Special Delivery Postal Service Safe?
In a word "YES" The Royal Mail has a 99% success rate at delivering special delivery parcels and don't forget your items are fully insured. Make sure you insure for the right value. Your Post Office will advise you and you can use our gold and precious metals price calculator to get an approx value of your item. The Parcel Collect service works in the same way re insurance etc.

What if My Items are not Gold?
If you send non-gold/silver items to us and want them returned, we make a charge of £8.50 for returning them to cover postal costs etc.. This can be deducted from the amount of the offer we have made
Why don't you send out a pack?
NB We don't have fancy TV Ads, Celebrities etc nor do we send out packs.. This helps us keep costs down which helps us to pay you more cash for your Gold! Companies that pretend their packs are free, also often hide things in the small print. That is not us.
How do you pay?
By post we pay via bank transfer or cheque. if you call in with valid up to date ID we can also pay you cash. Tell us what you want on our form

How long after you receive my gold and /or silver items items does it take to get paid
For transfers It would be over-promising to say that it will be the same day in 100% of cases BUT that is our aim. Occasionally our Bank likes to do random security cheques, which delay matters by a day and sometimes its Friday PM and Banks don't make transfers on a Saturday BUT in 90% of cases it is within 24 hours . Cheques are usually the following day via Recorded delivery but occasionally if we are very busy it takes an extra day.
